Stroft's more affordable FC line

The Stroft FC 2 Fluorocarbon line is the significantly more affordable of Stroft's two high-quality FC lines. While the FC 2 has slightly less knot strength than the FC 1, it has almost identical linear breaking strength and a significantly lower price. This makes it a more cost-effective alternative for leader construction, but it also scores with very high quality.

A host of outstanding properties

The Stroft FC 2 Fluorocarbon impresses across the board with its very high quality and a host of outstanding properties:

• Abrasion resistance: Thanks to its hard surface, this material has particularly high abrasion resistance and is ideally suited for use on mussel beds and rocky ground.
• Sinking behavior: This material sinks quickly and is therefore ideal for methods where this property is important.
• Sensitivity/Feedback/Stretch (setting the hook): Under light load, the FC 2 has very low stretch and is therefore more sensitive than conventional monofilament lines. In the mid-range, the stretch for setting the hook, the values are almost identical. Under heavy load, however, the stretch is more pronounced than with monofilament lines, and thus head shakes and abrupt runs at close range are better cushioned than with conventional monofilament.
• Lifespan: Since the FC 2 hardly ages at all under sunlight and other influences, it also scores with a very long lifespan.
• Visibility or invisibility: Thanks to a refractive index of 1.42, the FC 2 has very low visibility in water, as water has a very similar refractive index of 1.38.
