Sunline Siglon PE X 8 / 150m

During the manufacturing of the Siglon PE X8, eight very high-quality raw fibers of the "EX-PE" polyethylene fiber, specially designed for this line, are braided together very tightly and extremely accurately. Since this happens within a novel braiding process, the cross-sectional area of the line is reduced, resulting in very thin line diameters.

Furthermore, thanks to the very tight braiding, the Siglon PE has ultra-low stretch, making it highly sensitive. This ensures that bites and bottom contacts are transmitted directly and precisely to the angler.

As is typical for Sunline lines, this braiding process is optimized for optimal roundness and a very uniform surface structure of the line. The Siglon PE is therefore pleasantly round and does not flatten out even with prolonged use. In addition, this braided line is very smooth. This means it lies well on the reel and also significantly reduces friction in the rod guides.

Thanks to its low friction, the Siglon PE glides quietly through the guides and enables long casting distances. To further improve handling on the reel and casting performance, the line has a comparatively high stiffness. This ensures that it cannot easily wrap around the guides even on windy days.

The Siglon PE also has excellent casting properties on baitcasting reels due to its mentioned stiffness. Handling on BC reels was one of the points that Sunline paid special attention to when developing this new braided line.

All these values in the Siglon PE are not achieved by a particularly thick coating, but by high-quality materials and the elaborate braiding process. The line surface is already inherently very smooth and round after the actual braiding, so a thinly applied coating is completely sufficient as a finishing touch to the line surface.

When used on the water, the Siglon PE behaves reliably at all times, as usual. The line delivers on its breaking strain promises. This allows the angler to fully concentrate on the essentials, i.e., fishing itself and presenting the lures, without having to worry about the line. Even with thinner diameters, pike and zander never pose problems for the line.
